There are good things happening all over the game of football. The National Football Foundation has asked individuals to share an example of something they see happening within our sport that is good for the game. Here is one example of what makes the sport so meaningful!

More than 1,400 high school quarterbacks, running backs, tight ends, and wide receivers will gather on the campus of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, June 25-28, for the 30th edition of the Manning Passing Academy (MPA).
What began three decades ago with just 185 campers has grown into one of the nation's premier instructional football camps while remaining true to its original mission: making the game more enjoyable for young athletes.
Opportunities to play women's flag football keep expanding!
The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced June 16 that the league has added women's flag football and women's golf as championship sports for the 2026-27 academic year.

Nate Jones, an NFF National Scholar-Athlete from Rutgers who played in the NFL for eight seasons before becoming an NFL Referee, will participate on a panel about what it takes to become a football official as part of the NFL Legends Community.

Kent Briggs, who quarterbacked at Western Carolina from 1976-79, worked as an assistant coach at his alma mater for nine seasons and six seasons as the head coach from 2002-2007, passed away June 19. He was 68.
Pat Holmes, who played collegiately at Texas Tech and later became an All-Pro defensive lineman with the Houston Oilers, passed away June 16. He was 85.
Philip LoChirco and Jalen Shaffer, two former teammates at Wheaton College (IL) who graduated in 2023 and 2022, respectively, passed away June 13. Shaffer was 26 and LoChirco was 24.
